About

Hi, I’m Erin. I love to cook & bake. I’m a self-professed foodie. I love to try new restaurants, and try new food every day. I especially love to cook healthy dishes that taste great too! I started this blog as a way to keep up with recipes I like, and it expanded into a way to share my kitchen adventures with the world. Enjoy!

My day job is a television editor.  Cooking and baking is my way to relax from a crazy week at work.  I do most of my kitchen activities between Friday & Sunday.  People often say “you should open a bakery” or “you should be a chef”.  It’s flattering; and I reply “thanks but no thanks”.  People only see my successes, and believe me, I have plenty of failures.  Besides, I truly love what I do.  My whole life I knew I wanted to work in television.  And now I’m living my dream.  All the cooking and baking, well, that’s just icing on the cake!  😉

Oh, and a little more background info.  I grew up in a teeny tiny, no stoplight town, on a farm in KY.  I now live in the “city” of Nashville, TN.  (I say “city” because it just feels like a big small town to me.)  I love being able to walk to the grocery, the bars & restaurants, parks, and coffee shops.  I treasure and cherish my upbringing, and I wouldn’t change it for the world, but I also love my city life.  I’m lucky to have found a man who wants to share the same lifestyle.  And I’m lucky he puts up with me.  My current goal is to convince him to start a beer blog.  Haha…

Also, if you like my photography, check out my attempt at the 365 Project, where I take a photo a day everyday for 365 days!  Sometimes I get behind on my posting, but I’m still taking pictures!
